JIadkid, Oct. S General Prim was received in this city with unbounded enthusiasm. The crowd in the streets was so great that many persons were crushed to death. Boston-, Oct. 8. The trial of James D. Martin came oil to-day, with a verdict of guilty, on charges of his having made false entries to the amount of 310,000 each, to debit tho accounts of the First National Bank of Northampton, Mass., and Augusta, Maine, with intent to defraud Ilyde and Leather Bank, and to deceive the president of the latter bank, but not guilty as to the other counts. The case will go to the United States Supreme Court upon exceptions taken to various rcsultings of the court during the trial.

PU1LADEI.P1UA, Oct 8 The procession in honor of the arrival of Gen. McClellaati to-day was a splendid ovation. During the morning the upper sections of the city was alive with the banners of clubs, mustering, their members aud marching to Broad and adjaceuts streets. The weather was cold and blustering, with several showers of rain, notwithstanding which the streets along the published route of the procsssion, were filled with spectators, some of whom remained patiently from two o'clock till nearly dark. The procession did not commence to march till three o'clock, and was two hours in passing any given point. It was proceeded by Grand Marshall McC'audless, with his aids, andalargecaval cade, followed by about four hundred butchers, with white shirts and blue sashes, making quite a feature. The second division of the procession was composed of a guard of honor, and State committees in carriages, escorting Gen. McClellan, who rode iii a barouch, and was busily engaged in bowing to...

New Yokk, Oct. S. The Protestant Episcopai Convention to-day was petitioned to admit the new Diocese of Nebraska into fellowship with the Convention. It was referred lo the Committee on Diocese. —. ^ Wasuixto.v, D. C, Oct. 8. A copy of Gen. Meade's report of the Camilla riot is being prepared to-day at tho War Department for transmission to the President. It will probably be made public to-morrow. Tub Union men of Zion and vicinity bold a meeting last week and organized a company of Tanners. The following gentlemen and old soldiers were appointed officers : Adam Guynn, Captain; James Bradley, First Lieutenant; Wm. Cronoble, Second Lioutenaut. Gredit is due tliese gentlemen for their, energotic efforts in behalf of the cause of Freedom and Truth.

Seven young girls escaped from a Cincinnati convent last week. Robert T. "Lincoln, son of the late President, was married at Washington on the 25th ult., to Mary, daughter of Senator Harlan, of Iowa. Hujibugs Exposed.—Prof. Sands, the great Magician, Ventriloquist and expose of all Spiritual manifestations, will give two entertainments at Bush's Hall, in this place, on Wednesday and Thursday evening, October 14th and 15th. Prof. Sands comes to this place well recommended by the pulpit and press. Read what Rev. Mr-, Pilcher, of the M. E. Church, of Van Wert, Ohio, says of him : "I take ploasurt in stating, that having had the satisfaction of attending Prof. Sands' lectures on the subject of modern spiritualism (so called), that he fully vindicated his reputation, by exposing in a masterly manner, tho deceptions of the so-called science of Spiritualism.
