VEGKLY SENTINEL. MONDAY, - MARCH '21. The naker-Perklns Correspondence. Some dajs ago thete appeared iu the Journal a correspondence between Col. Coxsad Baku. Assistant Prorost-Marshal General for Indiana, and Judge Perkins, which was paraded in that paper wi;h a great flourish as a complete crusher of llt latter. - It appears that Judge Pi.RK.IKS issued a writ of haben corpus in the case of a mir. or who was in the military service of the United State, and the fact so appearing upon the trial, he ordered the discharge of the boy from custody. Col. Bakck pronounced this case to come in conflict with the President's procla-i-mation suspending the writ of habeas corpus, and he ad rises the Judge that he shall report the fact to the Provost Marsha! General, but at the same time asks for an explanation or apology in the mattar.
