THE WEEKLY BANNER. BY RANKIN & LEVIN". THURSDAY, FEBECABT 17, 1880 All the east Texas papers, says the Dallas Times, are now engaged :n printing the advan tages of Sabine Pass. So much interest is manifested in Sabine Pass that Galveston is seldom mentioned in connection with deep water. At present Gal veston has the advantage of all on her side, she has the capital and also railroad connection. A New York special to the Houston Post says that within the next thirty days the Texas and Pacific, Iron Mountain, In ternational and Kansas roads will all be consolidated under one management, and that it will effect a great saving in ex pense. It is thought, also, that the result will be to put the roads all on a divident paying ., basis. Scientific circles are agitat ed over a new fuel for locomo tives, just discovered, of won derful power and cheapness.
