I. Polhamua, General Superintend dent of the C. S N. Co., we made nn excursion to the Castle Dome Landing, thity-flye miles up the river.. Going on board the mag nifieent steamer Gila, Capt. Mel Ion, at 10 a. in., the lines were cast off and the engines; set in motion. Up "to this time, we had had some curiosity to see how this fine steamer" would breast the waves of the rising river.
