Lynch, who was engaged in court, Joseph Oberlin was called to the chair and R. O. Williams, of Alliance, secretary of the County Com mittee, waa made secretary of the Con vention. Pursuant to previoui notice of tho Dm ocrmtie and Liberal Committee of Stark county a large meeting aaaembled on Sat urday, Jane 7tk, in the Agricultural room of thi Court-house, in Canton, and in the absence of the chairman, Sir. Lynch, who waa engaged in court, Joieph Oberlin was called to the chair and R. Q. Williams, of Alliance, secretary of the County Com mittee, was made secretary of the 0n Tention. ' The chairman stated the object of the meeting was to consider .the propriety of nominating a county ticket this year by a convention composed of delegates from the various townships, of the county.
