The surviviog Heroes -idiog in Lake, Geauga and AsMabula, to the number of about fifty, assembled :.t Painesville on the 11th, and had a spirit-stirring time. They paraded in the morning under the star pangled banner they had guarded with honor on the battle-fields of the Northern frontier nearly half a century ago, which was home in the procession by Capt. Harvey Hcstoon, ol Lake, who enli.tcd on the declaration of War, at the age of fifteen, and served his country faithfully until Peace was proclaimed. The vet erans who were able to march kept time to the oil fighting music of drum and fife, the bass drum beat by Corbim Hujitoos, a drummer in the War, the fife played by his son, and the kettle drum by a granddon, while the lame and tkcrepid rode in a big wagon from the rendez vous to the Court House.
