Favorable Report Will Greatly Increase the Size of the Distrcit. For many months past an active attempt has been made to have returned to Cass Lake Land office the territory in the ex treme northern end of the dis trict cut from it and attached to the Duluth district. TV II EVIDENCE SECURED Piece of Shirt Sleeve Found Near Spot Where Dahl Body Was Discovered. SHIRT FROM WHICH IT WAS TORN IN F0URNIERS CABIN. "Shorty" Said to Be Located And Sheriff Bailey Has Gone To Arrest Him. Another scrap of evidence which the authorities think will aid in implicating Paul Fournier in the Dahl tragedy was recently developed in the shape of a piece of a man's shirt sleeve found near the spot where the body of N. O. Dahl, the murdered home steader, was unearthed. The shirt from which it was torn was found in Fournier's cabin. It is also stated upon good au thority that "Shorty" has been located and that he is at present in hiding in the Rain}' River coun try. Sheriff Bailey left the first of the week, and although his destination could not be learned, it is thought that he will bring "Shorty" with him upon his re turn to this city. The preliminary heating of Caldwpll and Fournier, held on suspicion of connection with the murder of N. O. Dahl and Miss Aagot Dahl l...

NEW EVIDENCE BEING DE VELOPED ALMOST DAILY. TH E FIGH j*^ THINK THEY HAVE PROOF County Authorities Almost CertainThat Fournier Had Hand in Dahl Murder. Button of Peculiar Make Has Been Found Near Scene of thje Tragedy. One of the latest developments in the Dahl murder case which may have a very important bear ing in tne matter is the finding on the brush heap under which the body of Miss Dahl was con cealed of a piece of shirt sleeve and a button. The shirt from which the piece of sleeve had been torn was found Fournier's cabin, as was also the trousers on which the button had been worn, and both the garments haye been identified as belong ing to Fournier. The trousers are of a very peculiar make, and the buttons differ from the ordinary pants buttons manufactured in this country. They are of foreign manufacture, and were worn by a imigrant who settled in the Quiring country. It is said that Fournier either bought or bor rowed the trousers from the newcomer, and wore them at the tim...
