AspermontSta S. W. THOMAS, Editor and Proprietor. ASPERMONT, Stonewall Co., TEXAS, Thursday, July 15,1909. Vol. 12, No. 1 BOND ISSUE GftRRiES BY NI6E MAJORITY The Enterprising Citizens of Stone= wall County by Their Ballots Want New Buildings, Progres ion is the watchword. Our people have thrown aside the yoke of old fogyism and joined the enterprising, pro- gressive element by voting bonds tcf erect a modern, commodious court house. It was a victory over which our enterprising people should justly feel proud and was only won through perseverance and hard campaigning. But it is over and even those who so bitterly opposed it will live to seé that it was to their welfare to vote these bonds. It was only a question of time, and a short time at that, when some action would have been forced upon our court to furnish our people with a suitable building in which to hold our courts and the bond issue was by far the cheaper and most plaus- ible way out of the matter. Our citizens have made t...

Mr. Louis Tillotson Dead At ten o'clock Monday morn- ing, at the home of his son, T. T. Tillotson, in Rotan, the spirit of "Grandpa" Tillotson passed to its reward, peacefully as a little child lying- down to sleep. Mr. Tillotson was born Feb. 22, 1826, in Wayne county, New York, on the shores of Lake Erie. He served through the Civil War in the ordinance department of the Confederacy, from Mississip- pi, where he moved with his family in the year 1857. In 1871 he moved to Texas, settling in Cherokee county, and moved to Fisher county in 1892. He leaves two sons, R. S. Til- lotson, County and District Clerk of Stonewall county, and T. T. (Buck) Tillotson of Rotan. He leaves a host of sincere friends to mourn his loss. He was really not sick at all, but like a sheave ripe for the har- vest, he was gathered in. No man knew him but to love and respect him.—Rotan Advance. Soreness of the muscles, whether induced by violent ex- ercise or injury, is quickly re- lieved *by the free applica...
