Our Railway Leagne. MONSTER MEETING AT BARRIGAN. Some seventy-five residents of the Bar rigan and -Cargo districts assembled on Saturday afternoon last to discuss' the advisability of forming a league to agi tate for railway communication. There were also present representatives from the Canowindra Railway League — Messrs Minter, Bassett. and Finn. On the motion of Mr. J. E. Nash, seconded by Mr. E. G. Ingham, Mr. A. Swansbra was chosen as chairman and Mr. J. J. Finn (Oanowindra )? secretary, pro. tem. They are enormous eaters, and quickly consume all the profits, besides being a good deal of a nuisance unless managed and sold just at the right time.

Canowindra Social Club. A preliminary meeting was held on Saturday evening last at the Junction Hotel, with the object of inducing a number of the youngei'-dnhabitants of the township to form a ciub for the purpose of holding social entertainments monthly. There was a fair attendance, about lo putting in an appearance. Mr. J, Townsend having been elected to the chair, it was decided that a club be formed to be called the ' Canowindra ?Social Club,' and that the subscription to same be 2s 6d per month ; all unfinan eial and non-members wishing to attend gatherings to pay 3s admission. The Condobolin Show, The fifteenth annual exhibition of the Condobolin P.A. and II, Society was held last week, and proved a grand success in every way. There was an . increase in entries to the extent of 200 or more and a record was put up as regards at tendance. For cattle and sheep the Hon, Geo Lee took not less than 12 first and 4 champion prizes. In the pimping con tests the high jump (10g.) was won by Finn's Lock Maree at 4ft lOin ; for horses carrying not less than 12st over hurdles 3ft 9in high (£7 10), J. F. Daw eons Sligo. The bicycle handicap, Hm, was won by James Muir (30yds.)
