Camden Water Supply^ Aldermen Rankin (deputy Mayor, of Pamden), Gv Furner, E. G. Griffiths,, and VG. Cleveland, accompanied by Mr. 0.' Bfall, M.L. A.-, waited1 on the Minister for Works on Thursday last in repaid to the water supply of Camden. Mr. Bull said the object of the deputation was to ask the Government to assist the Camden' Council by intiue'ueing the Board of Water Supply and Sewerage to outer into ia more generous contract with the Council than the one they were willing to enter into y also to ask for Gotfeinm-en t' assistance to obtain! a proper water supply for' the town. Tue water supply for the city of Sydney had taken away the natural water supply from Camden,; and the river from which the supply was now obtained was in such a/ condition th'at the water was totally unfit for domestic purposes. The Water aj£'d Sewerage' Board flushed this river out every now and ajjain,- but instead of this the hoard might give the people the water for nothing. Alderman Rankin explain...
