RENMARK PLANTATIONS. SOUTHFIELD. [Newspaper Article] — Renmark Pioneer — 21 December 1895

REN MARK PLANTATIONS. SOUTHFIELD, Mr. H. A. Rossell's. One of the most rapidly developing plantations on Block C, Section 11, Lots 10,11 and 12, is that of Mr. H. A. Bossell, which he has named Southfiekl, after Mrs. RossfU's former Lancashire home. A branch of the main channel, cemented from end to end, runs right through the block diagonally from Etiwanda to Tarcoola Street. The house is situated on a rising pine ridge, a substantial cosy wooden building, with wide verandah round three sides, and stone dining room and kitchen, with cellars at the back, and a cement tank of the capacity of 4,500 gallons. The few Murray Pine trees which have been left near the house, the row of castor oil trees on the West side and the profusion of foliage of the passion vines, which cover the verandah, give the homestead a most picturesque appe...
