IMPOUNDING NOTICES. A question has this week been dccidod by tho Bench of Magistrates, respecting impounding notices, which is of no slight pubiio import* ance. Sinco the Grenfell pound has been established— now eomo two montljs— all tho advertisements of impounded stock have been sent to a paper called tho 'Emu Creek Miner,'* published at Burrangong, about 35 miles dis tant from tho Grenfell pound. Tho pubiio have -very naturally complained that, after taking in the journal of their own town and district, they havo been compelled to hunt up to see if their horses and cattle are impounded. Of course every ono knew tho thing was wrong j wrong as contrary to the Impound* pounding Act, and wrong as an attempt to support a foreign journal at tbe expense of the local one. Upon the matter being brought before tho Bench by a Mr. O'Bbien, who alleged that the poundkeeper had committed a breach of tho Impounding Act, by impounding a mare of his and not advertising it in tbe local paper, the ...
