Tea Gardens. [Newspaper Article] — Dungog Chronicle : Durham and Gloucester Advertiser — 27 February 1894

Tea hardens. (From our own Correspondent) We have had a case of mdst serious illness here, which everyone thought would linve ended fatally, but chiefly through the attendance and skill of Dr Finlay, of Stroud, all dangor has now passed. Mrs. Osborne was almost at death's door when Dr. Finlay, tho Go vernment medical officer, was sent Cor. When he left her with a new-born infant, there wero very few hopes of her recovery, ( r of tho child living. The woman was then seized with a fever, |which by many is fsuppo3od to be incurable. The doctor sent instruc tions nnd medicine by mail and mes sengers, ard has the satisfaction of knowing that his p'atjentis about again. The woman herself, who hns a very large family, is deeply gratoful to the do_ctor, aiui his fame as a most skilful ' phyaicitn is certainly established here.
