CURIOUS FACT, A farmer in Vermont last season was behind all his neighburs in cutting ihe grass in his meadows. At night some waggish boys went into one of his meadows, and cut down all the grass in itr—They also went into his potatoe patch and cut a few swathes thiough it. At the time of digging the potatoes.they were found rotten except where the boys had cut off the tops, and there ihey were all found good, and sound. This would seem to show that the disease begins io the tops, and it suggests as a means of saving a crop the cutting oil the tops so soon as the tops begin to die.— Morning News.
