Flour hfld with rather more firmness under the favorable advices from abroad_] but the market for flour is in a very lifeless condition; only 6000 bbls. were disposed of, for export, at $6 for fresh ground superfine and $6 for fancy. Rye flour steady at $4 and corn meal tit $3 50. There is rather more demand for wheat and supplies come forward slowly—sales 4,000 bus. at $1 17@$1 Id for good red, and $1 25@$1 35 for white. Rye is in demand and has advanced— 1600 bus. new sold at 80@83c. Corn in fair request and 5,000 bus. yellow brought 87@88c. Oats have advanced one cent—4500 bus. new Delaware sold at 38c. In groceries there is _tuore doing—sales of Cuba sugar at 6@ 6_£c and Rio coffee at ll@12i. Provisions have an advancing tendency. New _cloverseed is selling u> $5 25@$5 62J.
