Oa Mon day forenoon an accident of a very serious nature occurred to Madame Mac arte at Pal mer' circus, Chicago. A man had brought to the circus a fine young horse which he wished to sell, and Madame Mac arte, having had the animal taken Into the ring, mounted bun and cantered several times around the circle. She then rose to her feet, and no sooner had the done so than the animal, frightened at the, to him, unusual and extra ordinary attitude of his rider, made a wild bound to one side, throwing Madame Ma carte with terrific violence over a dozen yard into the ring. She alighted directly on her shoulder, and lay perfectly stunned. She was immediately lifted up and medical assistance procured.
