Watson in front of the I. X. L. store, and de-1 manded an explanation regarding' certain defamatory epithets which DeLacy alleged had been applied to him by Watson. The latter on be ing informed as to tbe precise na ture of the language used Admitted that he had said •▼en worse, whereupon De Lacy drew a pistol and fl red. The bullet fortunately missed Its mark and entered tbe I. X. L. tin sign, about three and one-half feet from the ground.
