The Republican State Central Committee have appointed a mass meeting of the citi zens of Wood county, to be held at Bowling Green on Wednesday, the 3d day of October. Messrs. Chase, Kimball and Gibson will ad dress the people. Spread the news and let there be a rouser ! Also, in Pevrysburg, on Wednesday eve ning, the same speakers. Much of our space to-dav is occupied by Mr. Wood in reply to Mr. Way. This con test, it seems to us, has progressed about far enough. The facts of interest appear tohave been about all stated, and no practical result has been attained, nor do we see that pro longing the contest is likely to produce any thing except embittered personalities. After election, if there are facts of public interest jet to be stated, we will cheerfully afford room for them ; but any furlher bandying of personalities we decline.
