WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1875. THE project of a railway from Townsville       to Ravenswood and Charters Towers is   regarded with growing favor, and in a short time we may anticipate more ener- getic action being takcn by those chiefly interested. The people of Townsville look   on the project from a different standpoint     from that occupied by the people of Ra-   venswood, Charters Towers and the Ether- idge, and, knowing that all the traffic to   the interior must necessarily pass through   Townsviile, are satisfied with the profits at present received. That they are short-   sighted and unpatriotic in their narrow views, is very evident to all disinterested persons. There is a great future before Townsville, and it will be a pity if the     mere selfish interests of a few traders or    ...
