"SILENCE." A typical Bowery saloon of 190f, I a black and white political poster I over the bar carrying the legend, j "Vote for Alton B. Parker for Preei-1 dent. Rtfosevelt means hard times," big: free lunch counter with its fat and jovial attendant, long rows of mirrors, a half-dozen bartenders busily mixing drinks, an "old soak" here, an "old soak" there. This is but one of the many colorful settings in "Silence," a fine new under-world melodramatic picture which-will be on view at the Murray Bridge Lyric Theatre to-morrow (Saturday. With the early scenes of the picture- laid in the toughest section of New York's East side, the crime and intrigue of the underworld furnishes opportunity for a series ofx thrilling situations that carry the narrative from one sus pense to another with surprising rapidity.
