HINTS FOR THE HOUSEHOLD. Omelet. Take as much sweet milk (or a little less) as you have ol eggs. Beat the eggs to a froth, add the heated milk, with a little butter and salt, and bake in a battered tin 15 minutes. Johnny Cakes tn Cup. 3 cups of In dian meal, 1 cup of wheat flour, 3 cups of thin sour milk, 2 tablespoonmls of shortening, 1 tea spoonful of salt, 1 teaspoonful of soda; Bake in quick oven 20 minutes. Boiled Cuslartl. Take C eggs; beat the whites separately; have 1 quart of milk boiling; add I tablespoonmls of powdered sugar; 1 teaspoonful of va nila; put tho whitts in tablepoonfuls to boil; let them boil 1 minute, then turn them over and boil 1 minute more; remove them to a dish; stir the beaten yelks in the milk, and boil three min utes, as more will curdle them ; remove to another dish; when cold place the whites on the top, and serve with jelly.
