The Southern Pacific Railrond has sixteen water stations between Yuma nod Denims inclusive; also two addi¬ tional wells, one near Gila Gity and tbe other west o Pyramid. Mr. 0. JL Woros, tho assayor, has re¬ ceived some valuable Qnijotoa ore speei- ment for bis cabinet. His collection now numbers over a thousand samples of rock, representing mineral from nearly every ledgo discovered in south- orn Arizona. Mining patents have been received at tbe Land Office in this city, as follows: Sandwich lode.Tyndnll district, to Dana Harmon; Dragoon lode, Turquoise dis¬ trict to Henry J Goodwin, .1 Granville Smith, Oharles M Pond, Benj Y Pippy and Samuel J Novell. Yesterday a twonty-ton smelter was unloaded at the depot. It is tho prop¬ erty of Dr. J. C. Handy. He has not decided just where it will be located, this city being one of the places under consideration....
