The first creamery In the atate was -atablished at Meridian In this county w 1897. It wa a co-operative Insti tution and oon fell Into the hands of receiver. L. P. Blddlck, the most successful seramery man In the state arrived In 189 and purchased the Meridian es tablishment, which he afterward con aollduted with the Boise creamery. The dally output of the Meridian plant, when Mr. Blddlck became the owner, was 65 pounds of butter per jay.
