X - We have enjoyed a rare pleasure In a full aud unreserved conversa tion with ex-Gov. Joseph E. John ston, of Georgia. The precise stat es of matters political in the South Is a most lnterestiug problem. Everything connected with tbe South has been discolored by pas sion and misrepresented by parti san malevolence.
