N.C.2 BRENHAM WON GAME SOMERVILLE—9 TO 3 BARBECUE WAS A BIG SUCCESS The Brenham baseball team left the "jinx" that has been with them for the past week and defeated Som ervillo on their diamond Thursday afternoon by a score of 9 to 3. "Bean" Wehrman pitched for the Brenham boys for the first time this season and showed the Somerville team as well as the local boys that 4 he coud "come back." He struck out ten men and allowed 7 hits which werd widely scattered. The game was never doubtful save in the 4th inning when Somerville had three men on bases with none out and the head of the batting order up. But Wherman was equal to the oc- casion striking out Lange and Sim- mons, the giant catcher who is no- ted in Somerville for his hitting abilities; then Schroeder poped out.
