;m gUarrois r grwA I. H. JULIAN Editor. TUBLISIIED EVERY SATURDAY. A Pirate and Ills Domain. A pirate ancestor has not usually been considered a subject for family rejoic- ing even among those who boast their descent from the robber knights of the middle nges. There are exceptions to every rule however and tho Pauletts or Farletts of Long Grange Hicksford England are now rejoicing over the misdeeds of a seventeenth century rela- tive. The family is an old one former- ly owning an estate of over 2000 acres now shrunken to a little more than a tenth of that number. Their gain if these claims shall be established will be the loss of many thousands of Philadel- phians. Suits for the dispossession of tenants long in occupation are rarely successful even when not barred by the statuto of limitations but the cause of the Pauletts appears to have an unusual degree of strength as well as great ro- mantic interest. The Calvert family proprietors of Maryland 200 years ago and more had frequent...
