V ft (• : 4 • •^SUPPLEMENT* JUD6E ALDRED6E on HOGGS' MESSA6E. He promulgated a message last Mon day. I think I see running all through that message the fine Italian hand of my big-brained friend, Sawnie Robert- son. I know I called at his office a week before the legislature met and his partner told me Sawnie was in Austin, and that is the time that that message was being incubated, and I think there were about a dozen hens on that nest, but they branded it with Hogg's name. [Applause]. In that message he men- tions nineteen subjects that need urgent attention of the legislature. They have* kept well. Why did he not call that legislature seven months ago and give the people relief ? I suspect, from the fact that he wanted to keep in the senate of the United States the fellow with whom he played the game of marbles. [Applause]. He devotes about two columns to railroad bonds. Well, my friends, we have regulated the railroads at home; we have put them in the constitution and on the sta...
