W.tKDK.VS COIIH!". AX INFORMAL OBJECTION. A Warden's Court was hold at Corrynn;; on Saturday lust, before Mr A. A. K-*lley, P.M., when th-i matter of an objection by A. A. Brown, of Walwa, to an application for a mining Joase by Stephen Terry, also of Wftlwa, was listed. Mr Hood ap peared for Terry. Brown did not appear. Mr Hood submitted that the objection was informal. In the first place the obj-'Ctnr had n->t shown that hi) was the holder of a miner's right, nurl, secondly, because he had failed t-n cause a summons to be issued. Counsel submitted that the objection could not he yntertainr-d, The warden Fftld that the by law requiring tho production of a miner's right did not apply to an obj .cti iu to a lease appli cation. There was a serious in formality however, the objector having failed to lodge any depo-nt. The objection consequently could not be entertained. As there was no deposit, do costs could ha allowed.
