Bankin Springs Races. {From a Correspondent). The usual atuiual race meeting took I place at Rankin Springs on New Year's Day, and passed off- successfully. Al though the attendance was not so large as on previous occasions, nor the fields of horses numerically so strong, still there was same very good racing and exciting finishes. The various officials who had the management of the races in hand, carricd out their duties in a manner creditable to themselves and | satisfactorily to all concerned. ? An excellent dinner, which was got up in Airs. Hannan's usual recherche style, was duly appreciated by all who had the pleasure of partaking of it.
