School of Arts. [Newspaper Article] — The Cumberland Free Press — 22 June 1895

School of Arts. The School of Arts, Granville, like so many other things in the Progres sive Borough seems decidedly ' on the mend.' A system of keeping the library up to date by means of regu lar purchases of the most representative literature, month by month, has been brought into operat...

Dedication of Boad. I Within a few days the Toad from Klyde-etreet to the Mona-street bridge, pver Duck Biver will be duly dedicated lo the Council. The road was supposed Ko have been put in trafflcable order by ?the Government ; but there has been a fscrew loose, somewhere, as the road is strewn with boulders almost as big as a man's head, and vehicles fight shy of it accordingly. It is reckoned, that, when taken over, the road will call for an expenditure of £80, or so, to make it properly safe for traffic.
