Tho Troasurer has decided to stop tha publication of the weekly rovenuo returns, and issue a more comprehen sive statement at tho close of oach month. The forms and regulations in con nection with the land and income taxes ?will shortly bo ready. The Treasurer does not oxpect to receive nny direct taxation revenue during tho current half-year, as the work of assessment and adjustment will occupy a considerable time. The Executive has confirmed the appointmont of tho Land and Income Tax Commissioners, Messrs Powell, Johnson, and Spiller.
