COBRAM. The ball held on Easter-Mon day night of the Cobram Rowing Club was a great success. There was a large attendance, and a very enjoyable evening was spent by all. Mr. J. M. Chanter addressed the electors of Riverina in the Barooga Hotel on Monday even ing last. The speaker followed the same lines as in his previous speeches in the district, and ex plained the Referenda questions at some length. Miss May Mannix, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. I£. The Country l'ress Associations of Australia lost no time in putting their views before the Government, and in asking that the restrictions should be removed in the public interest, but they met witn an unsympathetic reply.
