The principal features which confronted the wheat traders before the market opened were the small receipts for the day at Minneapolis and Duluth , the firmness of the foreign market , the Black Sea . shipments and the state of the • weather . The Minneapolis and Duluth receipts were 479 cars and that is less than one-half of the number received on the previous Monday . A week ago the two places got 990 carloads : a year ago 249 . The Black Sea shipments for the week as telegraphed from Liverpool were given at 3 , 584 , 000 bu and adding to that a possible 100 , 000 bu from India . 172 , 000 bu from Argentine 500 , 000 bu from sundry ports , 80 , 000 bu from Australia and last week s shipments . from this country would make a total of about 8 , 000 ,- 000 bu .
