This feeling suc ceeded the time when most of those who had been cultivating vineyards had learned, by a number of years' experience and efforts at wine-making, that this part of their business had proved a failure. XUMLER ELEVEN. In preceding articles an attempt has been made to make known the capacity of the foot hills for farming purposes. The only ques tion that remains to be considered is, can land be procured ? There is a strip of land, such as has been described in these articles, extending from EeddiDg in the north to Sumner in the south, 350 miles in length, and at least thirty miles in width.
