Any'one desirous ofverifying tlio following story need only to take a stand at the foot of Ohardon street, where the relief horses are stationed, and watch Lady Knight's maneuvor ings. Lady Knight is a veteran on the" relief corps of horses, having served in that capacitygeight or ten years, and it is quite evident that dur ing that time she has learned a thing or two by observation, if in no other way. Part of the day two horses are kept for'the purpose of helping the cars up the hill, and they alternate, -or-are supposed toin their duties. But Lady Knight is a sly bootsand needs a vigilant eye to see that she doesn't cheat.
