I TRIBUTE TO GARRETT The Roswell Record Gives An Interesting Sketch of the Life of this Great Man Many of Roswell's leading cit izens knew Garrett as a brother. All unite in describing him as a man of great worth, having ren dered New Mexico a great Her vice that -but few men could have rendered, and giving it at a time when it was greatly need ed. Garrett was a native of Louisiana,-being about .r I yearn old, but moved early in life to Texas, Much of his boyhood was spent at Uvalde, southeastern Texas, and he came to Uoswell in vitht r 18S5 or INTO.
