DOMESTIC PRODUCE AT WHOLESALE. [Newspaper Article] — Pacific Rural Press — 25 February 1871

DOMESTIC PRODUCE AT WHOLESALE. San Francisco, Thurs., a. m., Fob. 23rd. FLOUE —The extreme dullness of the demond for both export and local consumption led to a reduction in the Sun Francisco market at the opening of the present week; and a corresponding reduction has also taken place in the interior. We quote city mills, $5.75@6.00; extra, $8.87%@7.00, Standard Oregon brands, $6.87%@7.00 —a reduction of 25c. from our last quotations. Transactions include 2,G00 bbls. Cal. extra, 1,200 bbls. Oregon extra, and 400 Cal. superfine at current rates. WHEAT—StiII continues quiet, notwithstanding it would seem that improved expectations of a good crop, by reason of the late rains, ought to induce holders to be more disposed to sell. There has been a small decline, but not sufficient to meet the expectations of buyers. One or two freight arrangements have taken place; but no exports are reported for the week. The; Liverpool market is from ld.@2d. lower; but holders feel quite snre of an earl...
