The Presbyterian church had a tree doubly loaded with offerings for the Sunday school children of that church and for those, of the Christ- ian church. An interesting and well prepared program, consisting of recitations and music was rendered by the joint schools and was happily received by the full house. The choir of the Methodist church prepared a short program of special music that was given at that church before the time arrived for the pick ing of gift-fruits fjrom the Christmas tree for the Sunday school. I have frequently been asked what . can be done with sheep on one sec- ' tion of land. In reply to this ques- tion, I would say that it depends largely on the man. If he is indus- trious and attentive to business, he can make a good living and some ' money besides. Hotw to do this is what I have promised to show. In the first place, you must have a good section of short grass such as we have around^ Hereford, then you must fence it wolf proof. This will cost about $40 per mile added to the cost' of common barbed-wire fence.
