Sam I louston ou'tho subject of the "Trials and Difficulties of a Frontier Settlement as verified in thcllistv ry of Texas" in that city lately. The stylo of the speaker was at times glowingly eloquent when depicting the horrors attendant upon the Texas revolution and the-desperation to which the Texans were wrought by tho conduct of the Mexican soldiery and government.
