Smith, who should see no cause to regret the venture. WEATHER. Good rain has fallen during the past week, and the country has responded well. Although showery weather has prevailed during the last few days, there is now every prospect of it lining up for a while. TENNIS CLUB. The newly formed Eumundi Tennis Club are doing their best to finalise matters for the laying down of courts, at the Memorial Park. RECStT SALES. Messrs Thornton 4 Murtagh report as follows: The sale of Fraser's Kllburnle Dairy Herd, which took place on Thursday 8th lnst, wa3 highly successful. All parts of the district was represented, and the cattle were certainly up to representations. Cows made up to £20. and the average for the herd of milkers was £12/5 per head. Young heifers made up to fiJ/19/6. Every beast was sold, and there was nothing left for private ?ale. A draft of horses from Kentlwortn on account of Mr. Beattie was disposed of on Saturday 10th lnst., at Thornton and Murtagn's yards.
