LOCAL AND DOMESTIC. THE LATE ATTEMPT OF SUICIDE.—At the Police   Office, on Tuesday, Richard England, a shoe-maker, was placed at the bar charged with having at- tempted self-destruction on the afternoon of the 20th ultimo. The particulars of this case have already appeared in this journal. The Bench, after having heard the evidence of the Chief Constable, ordered the defendant to find sureties to be of good behaviour for the term of six months, and as they were not forthcoming, he was sent to Brisbane gaol for the same period.       DISORDERLY CONDUCT, &C.—At the Police Office on Thursday, two men named John Neal, and —Bishop, road labourers, were brought before the Bench charged with resisting District Constable Alone in the execution of his duty. The Constable stated that he arrested Bishop for making use of profane language in Little Ipswich, and that the latter called his companion to his assistance when both assaulted...
