SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST "The Word Of God" [Newspaper Article] — Frankston Standard — 15 September 1949

?'EVEN'T?I-DAYA . ADVENTIST "The Word Of God" The following extract is con densed from . the bo-k, "Half Hours With The Bible," by Alma E. McKibbin. iThe Bible. is an inspired book. for'"lholy meni of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost;" (2 Peter, 1:21). As we should expect,; the word has the nature -and attributes of its Author.' :In it is the life and 2ower of God. He that believes t?. roeives power, and is changed by it so that he- finally ,has the ilarcter of God .: gy3this :i ord the sinner is re 'reated, is reborn, and afterward is sustained by: the Bread, or word, of life. The word trans orims the character.-, It destroys the natural, earthly desire- and passi us of'the soui, and puts in their. place, the - fruit; of the Spirit "love, joy; peace, long suffering,- kindness, goodness. faithfulness, meekness, -elf-con trol." (Galatinas, 5:22, A.R.V.).
