KOW viPLAINS v. MURRAY VILLE. From our Correspondent. The above teams met on the Kow Klains ground on Saturday last and a good game was witnessed. Murrayville toot- command at the commencement of the game and the ball was in the vicinity of the Kow Plains goal for the most of the first quarter, I goal 3 behinds being notched for Murrayville against 2 points for Kow Plains. Local Football. [Newspaper Article] — Ouyen Mail and Central Mallee Advertiser — 3 July 1914

SLcal Football. Football in the local competition on Saturday was most uninterest inr. Both Ouyen and Tiega com pletely outclassed their opponents, Nunga and Walpeup respectively. In the match at Ntuuga between the local team and Oulen, the visitors kicked 8 goals 13 behinds to Nunga's 2 Zoals 5 behinds. From the commencement of the game it was seen that Nunga had no chance, and towards the end it was just a practice match for the red-and-blacks. On the display shown by NnTaga on Saturday it.is a mystery bow tlhey beat Timberoe and Walpeip on previous Satur days, as both these teams put up a good fizht against Ouyen when they met. Certainly Nunga were without the ser-viee of Frank W LLiUUL LIIC Lt VICL ni rL L1 Dolan on Saturday, but- even the absence of that fine Slayer- should not have allowed the Ouyen team to score as they liked. Also it must be remetmbered that Ouyen were minus the services of W. Oke and A. Hatfield-two players whose places it would be hard to fill in the team....
