THE necessity lhat exists for more frequent intelligence for geneial security, regarding Banks and Counterfeit Bank Notes, has long been evident, and never more so than at the present moment. The interest of the community suffers by delay, and for their own protection requires prompt early and frequent information or a reliable charac ter. This deficiency will now be supplied. It must also be admitted that Bank Note Detectors are in the hands, too frequently, either or persons entirely unacquainted with the Bank Note business, or who are immersed in other pursuits to an extent that a settled indifference to the wants, expectations, and necessities orthe community becomes the stereotype character or the publications.
