M. according to the latest reports, remains still unqueiled. Of .the origin ancji cause of the disorder we know nothing, but it is said to have commenced by a baud of outlaws, the " Killers," attacking a tavern, known as the California House, at the comer of Sixth and St Mary's streets, and making a general onslaughtupon the colored people of that vicinity. Awinl Shipwreck. • Over 100 Men, Wbinen and Children Lost. —The Boston Traveller of the 8th! instant brings the following distressing account of a shipwreck on our eastern coast last Sunday: Brig St. John, Capt Oliver, from Galwoy, Ireland, Sept 5 th, "anchored inside of Minot's Ledge, Saturday night. At about 6 o'clock, A.AL, on Sunday morning, she dragged Jier anchors and struck the rocks.
