9k*9t. €MA foam. W. MITCHELL, EDITOR. Thursday, March 3, 1870. W I I CORRDPTION IS An honorable opposition in any •utter of general poblio interest will always oommand respect, even from op ponent!. But the indeeent manner in wbieh the St. Paul Dispatch has conducted its warfare upon the Nor mal Schools render* it more deserving of contempt than argument. Bat its latest attempt demands some notice. A correspondent, whose letter glues out in bold head lines, charges that the Prudential Committee of the Normal School at St. Cloud gave the contract fox the granite for the foundation of the now building at an oxoibitant prioe, $9 that it was done privately and that the granite is only "grout," thrown aside as refuse.
