The Second In-door Athletic Meeting a Gratifying Success. The second in-door athletic meeting of tho Columbia Athletic Club took place last night, and like their previous one, was witnessed by a very large and enthusiastic audience. The various events on the programme were evenly contested and the spectators were kept guess ing who would be the winners. There was something of a disappointment expressed when it became known that Mr. James Green, the eparrer was not on baud to meet Mr. George Carter in their second go, as the one on the previous occasion had not resulted satisfactory to either side. Everything considered, the en tertainment last evening was a creditable show ing of the progress made by the club in the way of athletics, and it is certain that when the club gives an entertainment at one of our theatres it w...
