S. Q. F. S. INTERSTATE FRUIT SPECIALS. Fruit trains run by the Southern Queensland Fruitgrowers' Society Ltd. to clear W.illangarra Thursday, Fr.i'Jay, and ?Saturday for week ending 10th February with C21 tons, of which 4 43 tons were for Melbourne, 178 tons for Sydney. The fruit was packtd in 15,019 cases, of which 13,949 cases were bananas. 1,957 cases pines, 1 case capsicums, 10 cases mangoes, and 2 bags beans. Melbourne took 9,847 cases ban anas, 7-i3 cases pines, and Sydney 3,902 cases bananas, 1,224 cases pinus, 1 -case capsicums, 10 cases mangoes and 2 hag beans. District loadings by tonnage were: Dayborough Line to Melbourne '161 tons; North Coast to Sydney 5'i tons, and to Melbourne 2961 tons; total 35-1 i tons; Tweed Heads to Sydney 743 .tons; Currumbin to Sydney 41 tons and to Melbourne 129 J; total 17.'} Ions; Cleveland Line to Sydney i? tons, and to Melbourne J toi---. i'til 2J tons. Ward (the veteran Aus tralian editor and journalist), who was the guest of honour at a luncheon given in Farmers, Ltd., to-day, by the New i Soiilh Wales Institute of Journalist;., said Hint the Australian Press was tin; greatest power for good in the Com monwealth to-day. Its power, he said, would increase as Australia developed, industrially and commercially. Dt.
