It is very massively constructed, — indeed in the opinion of many a much lighter bridge would have been quite subtantial enough, but it is doubtless intendedfby- the. department' tbat'thisaddition^ to.the. railway- station shall; unlike ;moBt;bther improvements,' remain 'a fixture andiooked at from this view it is perhaps not of too groat , strength. The bridge crosses from the, northern platform' right to Wardell-street, and has a flight of steps from each platform enabling passengers : to reach either ' up ' or ' down ' trains without running any risk by having to: cross the rails. It is to be hoped ere long something in the shape of station buildings to match will be added.
