Fitzroy City Press. SATURDAY, APRIL 22nd, 1882. [Newspaper Article] — Fitzroy City Press — 22 April 1882

SATURDAY. APRHIL nd,. 1582. AFrra all possilbility of danger had seemingly passed away, snuall-pox has found a lodging place in our midst It is unnmtecessaryi here to go into the de tails of Miss Southern's ease, as it is quite sullicicnt to know that it is one of true nariola and that it occurred in the very centre of Melbourne. No fur ther cases have transpired so far and very possibly the promptl action taken ini the ase mstay prevent a spread of the dread disease. But forwarnted is for- i armed and now that ocne case has I occurred we have no reaston for persuon ing that it will be a solitary one, It Ileasures are, therefore taken to lessen the possibility of its spread, and its virulence, the communit ity will be much beltter satislied, anid as safe as it is pos sible to be from the ravages of the dis setse. The various suburblan coutincils in their capacity of boards of health should at once see that the drainage of their districts is efllctive, and that no deleterious matter,...
